Privacy Policy
Last updated
This Privacy Policy explains what information this independent documentation site collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. It applies to delhistudentprotest.com (the “Site”).
The Site documents the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) / Jantar Mantar student protest in Delhi, 2026. It is not affiliated with CJP, any political party, or any government.
No user accounts
The Site does not require registration and does not maintain user accounts, profiles, or login credentials.
Contact form
If you use the contact form on the homepage, we collect the information you submit: name, email address, topic, and message.
That data is sent to our server’s contact API and forwarded to a Google Apps Script / Google Sheets workflow used to receive and review messages (including corrections and source tips). We use it only to respond to or act on your enquiry.
Please do not submit sensitive personal data you do not want stored in that workflow. We do not sell contact-form submissions.
Analytics and advertising
The Site uses third-party services that may set cookies or similar technologies and collect device and usage data:
- Google Analytics — to understand aggregate traffic and which pages are used.
- Vercel Analytics — to measure performance and visits on our hosting platform.
- Google AdSense — to show advertisements. AdSense and its partners may use cookies or device identifiers for ad delivery and measurement.
These providers process data under their own privacy policies. You can limit some tracking through your browser settings, ad settings, or industry opt-out tools where available.
Third-party embeds
The posts archive embeds public Twitter / X posts. Loading those embeds may allow X (and related CDNs) to set cookies or receive your IP address and browser data according to their policies. Media files stay on those platforms; this Site does not host tweet media.
Theme preference
If you use the light/dark theme toggle, a preference may be stored locally in your browser (for example localStorage). That preference is not sent to us as a personal profile.
Retention and your choices
Contact-form messages are kept as long as reasonably needed to handle the enquiry and maintain a correction/source record. Analytics and ad data are retained according to each provider’s settings.
Depending on applicable law (including India’s digital personal data rules where they apply), you may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of personal data we hold about you from the contact form. To make a request, use the contact form and describe what you need.
Children
The Site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the contact form.
Changes and contact
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Site or our tools change. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do.
Questions about privacy: use the homepage contact form (topic “Other” or “Media enquiry” as appropriate).
